New Mercy CLS Class
Akhirnya kita dapat menyaksikan peluncuran Mercedes CLS Class yang akan dirilis ulang tahun 2011. Model baru tersebut memiliki fitur dan kisi-kisi yang lebih tegas serta bemper depan lebih menonjol. Mercedes CLS akan bersaing dengan model seperti Audi A7 dan Porsche Panamera. Debut resmi akan dilakukan pada bulan September di Paris Auto Show, dengan penjualan yang akan dimulai pada awal tahun 2011.
Mercedes CLS akan didukung oleh mesin baru buatan perusahaan yaitu bi turbo 5,5 liter, mesin yang berbeda dari pendahulunya dan mobil terdekatnya CLS 63 AMG yang hanya didukung oleh mesin V8 6,2 liter. Dengan 5,5 liter bi turbo, Mercedes CLS baru akan mampu menghasilkan lebih dari 544 HP dan torsi 590 Nm untuk bentuk standar dengan paket performa yang lebih kuat 571 tenaga kuda dan torsi 664 Nm. Mercedes CLS juga akan ditawarkan dengan powertrains diesel dan hybrid, yang akan didukung oleh mesin 4 cylinder diesel twin turbo bertenaga 204 hp.

Chevrolet Beat LPG to be launched In Feb First Week
General Motors recently launched 'Smartech', the1.2 litre petrol engine the first made in India mill and now it is being learnt that the US auto giant is all set to launch its hatchback Chevrolet Beat in LPG version to be later followed by diesel version of the same.
Karl Slym who was present for the launch of the new powertrain made various announcements which indicate that the GM India wishes to cement its position in the domestic auto market. It is being learnt that the new LPG version of Chevrolet Beat will land on the Indian shores in the beginning of the next week. As per reliable sources, the new car model will be priced higher than the petrol version. However, its ensures that the LPG will deliver better fuel efficiency. It is being speculated that the LPG version will be the best offering of this time due to increasing petrol prices.
The new Chevrolet Beat LPG version will be available as a dual fuel car just like one of its rivals Maruti Wagon R. This technology ensures that the drivers can switch between petrol and LPG as per their convenience. Besides the Chevrolet Beat, It is being speculated that Chevrolet Beat diesel will be launched by June-July 2011
Chevrolet Beat diesel engine, is expected to have under one litre engine mated with three cylinder CRDI unit. As per the speculations the diesel version is assumed to be Rs 50,0000 expensive than the petrol version.
Mr Slym also declared that by April 2011, the company will unfold its concept electric car for India and also a smaller SUV will be placed before Chevrolet Captiva. There are speculations that the new electric car is on the same line of the Chevrolet Spark electric version which at present has been shelved due to Mahindra Reva. The compact SUV will pitch against Tata Aria the Indian crossover and the yet to be launched Mahindra W210 World SUV. However, there are high assumptions that Chevrolet Volt and Chevrolet Camaro will be introduced too.
These cars may take some time to land in India as till the time GM launches Right hand Drive versions. However GM will come with 6 new car models in the coming two years time. It is being learnt that Chevrolet Sonic, sedan and the hatchback is expected to be replaced by Chevrolet Aveo and Chevrolet U-VA.

Chevrolet Camaro to Comes in India
Indian auto market is luring auto biggies from across globe. Not only are the luxury cars posting the launches but also the sports cars are looking forward to enter India.
The car brands like Koenigsegg, Ferrari and Maserati are entering India and now it is being learnt that Chevrolet Camaro will soon hit the Indian shores.It was being reported that General Motors magnificent competitively priced Chevrolet Camaro has set the stage to enter India. Tim Lee President of General Motors international operations was heard saying that the auto giant will unveil the car with right hand wheel drive with two door car. As per the information, Chevrolet Camaro made its debut at the Indian Auto Expo in 2010 but then the auto giants did not reveal its plans to enter the second fastest growing auto market. Lee did not comment on the price and time the sporty wagon will be launched but it is expected to hold a price tag of Rs 30 lakh. After adding it in the GM's portfolio it will be the most expensive car the company will offer in India. On the contrary, this sports car is the cheapest on the globe.
Lee also revealed that the Chevrolet Camaro is going through a developmental stage and making it as per the Indian standards in a right hand drive. He further added that GM will not assemble the sports car in India. In the US auto market, Chevrolet Camaro base model starts at $20,000 and goes up to $40,000 (18 lakh). Due to CBU the car will be affixed with an import duty of 110 per cent which will double its pricing. As per the company's strategy, after the launch the auto company will start its brand image. Lee disclosing the strategy said that the company will bring Chevrolet Camaro in India and it does not expect to sell many of its models but will surely attract the sports lovers and others in its outlets. GM visions to develop the car which fulfils the needs of the sub continent and also bring profitability. Lee mentioned that with profitability the company will expand which will open opportunities for the people in India.

Car Loans To Get Dearer In Feb
The interest rates by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been revised recently and according to the new norms, auto loans will become expensive soon.
The top loan providers for automobile in India encircles State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC and Kotak Mahindra Prime, might come up with a hike of 50 basis point in the month of Feb 2011. the 5 basis point is equivalent to the hike of .5 per cent.
Addressing the issue, Mr. Ashok Khanna who is the senior executive vice-president and business head auto loans in HDFC Bank commented that for now the company will not introduce a rise in the auto loan rates and the decision will be active for all those customers which are in pipeline to get the loans as per company’s commitment. He also said that is any changes are introduced which should come in action from Feb 2011, the company will consider it and accordingly raise the price.
For now, the non govt. financing institutions like HDFC and ICICI offer car loan at 10-14% rate. Whereas the Govt based financing institutions like SBI, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank offer 8.5-12% rates on car loan. For now no prominent effect will be seen on the accelerating demand in auto market.

Tata Venture launched in Maharashtra
The much talked about Tata Venture makes its way to Maharashtra today making it the second market to get Venture after Rajasthan. Launched in Thane,
Tata Venture is priced at 5.07 lac, ex showroom. The mill in the MPV is a 1.4 L TDI diesel engine. The same powertrain can be found in company's other cars such as Tata Indigo and Tata Indica Turbo. The power and the torque produced are 69 bhp@4500 rpm and 13.7 kgm@2500 rpm respectively.
The less than 4 meter length and thus falling in the 10 per cent excise duty bracket. has rendered Tata Venture price low.. Alongwith being the first MPV meeting the frontal crash norms, it also meets very obvious requirements of space, comfort and affordibility. Currently available as 5, 7 and 8 seater,Tata Venture has three rows that face front. The MPV also includes collapsible steering unit, power steering, power windows, two row HVAC unit, music system, reverse parking, keyless entry and engine immobilizer. What stands out in the Tata Venture is its plug in windows and a glass inside a glass which is found in vans from Volkswagen.
Present in three variants-CX, EX and GX, Tata Venture offers five vibrant colors for its customers to choose from. With a mileage of 15.42 kmpl, Tata Venture also offers a 2 year warranty or 75000 kms, whichever is earlier. The MPV will be available in 42 dealerships (20 car dealerships and 22 CV dealerships).
Chevrolet Camaro Convertible 2011 to Pace Indy 500
Chevrolet announced today that it will produce 50 units of Chevrolet Camaro convertible pace car to build for the Indy 500 in this year 2011. If the 2009 and 2010 Camaro coupe that pace in the last two Indy 500, the convertible is otherwise a standard-issue model 2SS with the RS package. Under the hood is a familiar 6.2-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower. Why only 400 hp and not 426? Well, because each of these convertibles, a six-speed automatic instead of manual transmission.
The SS package is upgraded braking hardware, with fixed four-piston Brembo calipers on the front, along with 20-by-8-inch front and 20-by-9-inch rear wheels with P245/45ZR20 front and P275/40ZR20 rear summer tires fill the wheel arches. Of course, these wheels of polished aluminum, so it exists in the state on the ground. The RS package offers the unique Auto, Halo-style HID headlamps.
One of the 50 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible pace cars is on special for charity at the annual Barrett-Jackson car auctions. The Barrett-Jackson, the world’s greater collector car auctions held in Scottsdale, Arizona, January 22. Note that the white paint and orange stripes on the 2011 pace car directly from the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, the pace of the 53th Anniversary -Indi 500.
Luxury Tax of Luxury Car will be increase by year 2010
Indonesia government through Finance Ministry plan to increasing luxury tax of luxury car with large engine of 3,000 cc and above. This tax regulation will be held on year 2010 at least by April. This new regulation already sign off by Finance Ministry and Indonesian Parliament.However, this regulaton still must be created for government regulations that govern and instruct more details about it.

Base-model Discovery models from this generation weren't light on luxury features, offering standard amenities like a CD player, power-adjustable front seats and dual-zone climate control. The nimble Land Rover was also ready to roam the great outdoors, thanks to permanent four-wheel drive, plenty of ground clearance and Hill Descent Control. Active Cornering Enhancement, a hydraulic suspension system that reduces vehicle body lean during cornering, was available, as were a self-leveling rear suspension and third-row seats.
Initially, two 4.0-liter V8s were available, one good for 182 horsepower and 233 pound-feet of torque, and the other for 188 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. In 2000, the less-muscular V8 was dropped from the lineup. Model-year 2003 saw the introduction of a more potent 4.6-liter V8 good for 217 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. This engine was used to power all Discoverys until the model's retirement. This Land Rover wasn't known for stellar fuel economy. Discoverys powered by the 4.6-liter got a paltry 12 mpg in the city and 16 in highway travel.
Engine changes weren't the only ones experienced by the Land Rover Discovery during these five years. In 2000, the SUV benefited from minor interior upgrades. In 2002, new alloys were added, along with a standard Harman Kardon sound system. The Discovery got revised styling and interior treatments for 2003, and improvements were also made to its steering, brakes and suspension. By 2004, the options list had grown to include a navigation system, rear-seat DVD entertainment system and rear parking sensors.
Top-notch interior materials were the order of the day in the Discovery's cabin. There was ample head- and legroom, but the SUV's narrow proportions resulted in scarce shoulder- and hiproom. Additionally, this Land Rover's cramped doorways and tall stance made entry and exit somewhat of a challenge.
In editorial reviews, the Land Rover Discovery scored high marks for its off-road performance. On pavement, it was plagued by sluggish steering and an overly harsh ride. Ride quality saw some improvement after 2003's refresh, so opt for a 2003 or 2004 model to get a Discovery offering the most competence in this area. Finding a well-maintained and -documented model is probably wise given the Disco's less-than-exemplary reputation for reliability and durability.

New Tata Indigo Manza coming soon
Tata Indigo Manza, the famous saloon from the Indian car maker, Tata Motors is about to get a new and refreshed version for the Indian Auto market.
In India, the new variants are limited to only small changes in the designing of the car model without any prominent improvement in engine and other technical areas. Following the tradition, the company will bring the all exclusive variant of Tata Indigo Manza with some changes in the interiors and bit of exterior designing.

Maruti SX4 diesel to launch in Feb 2011
The second half of February is going to be important for the Indian automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. as it will mark the launch of one of its most aspired model, Maruti Suzuki SX4 diesel in Indian auto market.
The stunning mid sized sedan will be powered by the powerful 1.3 Multi-jet diesel engine which can be traced in its existing models like Tata Indigo Manza and Fiat Linea. As per the statements made by the company officials, the upcoming model which is 70 Kg lighter in weight is built to give better performance and superior fuel economy as against it major rivals in the market.
Talking about the global appearance, Maruti SX4 in Europe market is loaded with 1.9 litre diesel engines taken from Fiat. The Indian version of Maruti SX4 diesel is expected to come with 1.3 Multi-jet which is the most practical approach keeping in mind the use of same engine in models like Maruti Swift and Maruti Dzire along with a VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo).
The diesel powered mid sized saloon market is filled with tough competition with launches like Volkswagen Vento etc. Maruti by launching its diesel variant of Maruti SX4, have to work with smart marketing strategies along with a good cost advantage. The German auto brand has set the stage to unfold “the Most Fuel Efficient Car” which will be unveiled in Qatar Motor Show. As per the reports the new super stylish and total fuel economy car is expected to be a revised variant of L1 Concept which was showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show (2009). To achieve the fuel economy the L1 will use 0.8 litre TDI diesel mill which can produce maximum power of 27 Ps and generate torque of 100 Nm.
While, L1 is still a concept, the new car which will be unfolded at Qatar will be ready for production and is speculated to hit the car outlets by 2013. The revision version on L1 includes a small hybrid motor to support the diesel engine. To reduce the weight of the car, materials such as aluminum and carbonfibre have been used. The car has been worked out so well that it only weighs 290 kg. Well if the car is giving excellent mileage it is sure to enter in India. Maruti Kizashi fails to attract Chinese Auto Market
