New BMW 7 series likely to hit Indian Roads in early 2012

The current BMW 7 Series or F01 that is running on the Indian streets was launched in 2009 and since then there has been no upgradation of the model. During this time, Jaguar and Audi  have kicked  their elegant and highly luxurious sedans in the Indian market that have surely fascinated large masses.
Mercedes Benz is also occupied with extensive testing of its new Mercedes S Class for about a year now for unveiling it next year.

So the market trends forced  BMW designers to take some interest in facelifting  the long forgotten BMW 7 Series. As per the source reveal. After about 3 years of duty internationally, new version of BMW 7 Series will sport some mild facelifts that may include changes to the front, a revamped rear bumper and A few LEDs strips on the headlamps. Sources have caught an early prototype of the revised BMW 7 series being tested in Germany, car was bleakly covered during the test drive.

The test car cues some exterior cosmetic changes as well which include newly designed set of exterior mirrors that house the turn signals. This test mule is the hybrid version of the BMW 7 series because it had ‘Active Hybrid’ badges all over it. BMW India will officially showcase the new  BMW 7 Series later this year and the sedan car will be land on Indian shores for sale by the start of next year. We expect BMW to assemble the 7 Series, currently shipped as a built product from Germany, in Chennai later this year or early in 2012.
