Ford Focus to enter Indian Auto Market soon

 Recent developments in Indian car industry show that every major automobile company including Ford Motors across the globe is putting India in focus finding it to be one of the fastest emerging economy.

Marking the presence in every car segment, Global car makers are trying to get hold of Indian roads with their lucrative & luxurious car models. Keeping same intentions live, Ford India is also trying to mark its presence in the D segment cars in India and for this the company is launching its car “Ford Focus” for creating the brand image of the company in the country.It is worth mentioning that currently every major car maker has its foothold in D-segment cars which includes entry level luxury cars and mid-size cars. As per reports, Renault India entered with Renault Fluence, Toyota India intends to refurbish the Toyota Corolla Altis in June, Honda Motors is most likely to launch the new Honda Civic at the 2012 Auto Expo and Hyundai India is all set for the launch of Honda Avante. With Ford India still seeking presence in D-segment cars, as per speculations company is expected to launch “Ford Focus” soon.

The reason behind launching “Ford Focus” earlier than schedule lies in the fact that the sales in D-segment cars are amplifying with high pace and Ford India don’t want to miss the opportunity. Earlier, Ford India launched Ford Figo in-line which was followed by recently launched Ford Fiesta Classic. Further as per reports, the company is expected to launch new D-segment 2011 Ford Fiesta car by June and launch of Ford Focus will do the branding work perfectly. However, with Indian customer preferring Chevrolet Cruze, Ford India will have to work hard to win space in D-segment cars.

Tata Nano enters Sri Lanka Auto Market

Tata Motors launched Tata Nano petrol in Sri Lankan auto market on Sunday. This international export of Tata Nano will be termed as Nano’s first structural export post its launch in March 2009.

As per official reports, the Tata Nano price is about three folds in the Lankan market as compared to Tata Nano, which is one of the cheapest cars in India. Further, Tata Nano will be available in Sri Lanka with a price tag of 9, 25,000 Sri Lankan rupees ($8,486) in comparison to its Indian price of $3,000.An official of Dimo, the Colombo agent for Tata said that they have started taking booking for the first 500 cars which are going to be imported to Sri Lanka. Further he commented that the main reason behind the towering price tag is due to the high import duties and local taxes. MD Tata Motors, Mr. P.M. Telang said that their company is all set for exporting the most popular Indian car in several countries and the plan will be executed within next few years.As per reports, Tata Motors India is expected to launch the high-end deluxe version of Tata Nano in the European market. This new version is most likely to come affixed with wide range of equipment for providing new comfort & convenience along with safety. The Tata Nano Deluxe is currently in development phase at the company’s Sanand Plant in Gujarat.

Maruti Cervo to hit Indian roads coming October

Recent reports in Indian automobile world states that large number of car manufacturing companies, both Indian and global are planning to launch their new car models during the festive season later this year.

Further with Chevrolet, Honda, and Ford already in line-up for new releases, Indian automobile giant Maruti India is also expected to launch its latest invent “Maruti Cervo” in October this year. As per reports, Maruti cars in India will see another entry in the fleet which is going to be based on the Alto series of small cars. However, sources revealed that Maruti Cervo price is most likely to stay somewhat near Maruti Alto price and which in-turn will be the key selling point of the car.One more reason which is expected to make this Maruti Cervo as most preferred Indian car will be its high fuel efficiency. Reports state that currently Maruti Cervo is available in Japan with a 654cc, 54 Bhp heart under the hood and it delivers 23 Kmpl. Now, with the rise in petrol prices, Maruti Cervo’s fuel efficiency blended with low price tag will definitely provide much needed buzz in Indian car market.Further, launch of low priced Maruti Cervo is expected to compete India’s cheapest car “Tata Nano” and could surpass it with a range of exquisite features. As per reports, Maruti Cervo is being sold in Japan with premium segment features such as power steering, leather interiors and keyless entry. Nissan Nismo 370Z 2011 has it all- 350 HP 3.7-liter V6, Aerodynamic Body with racing-inspired exterior and interior styling, a specially tuned suspension and unique super-lightweight forged alloy wheels.

Developed by Nissan’s Specialty Vehicles Group in conjunction with Autech Japan, Nissan’s longstanding conversion partner, the limited production NISMO 370Z provides unique performance and design attributes that true sports car enthusiasts are looking for straight from the factory. The limited production NISMO 370Z is offered in one completely equipped model with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission only and in a choice of five exterior colors, including one new exterior color for 2011: Gun Metallic.

Advanced VVEL V6 and Tuned Suspension Come Standard
Every NISMO 370Z starts with the unmatched foundation of an advanced Nissan FM (Front Midship) platform, refined 4-wheel independent suspension and 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL). The VVEL system helps optimize intake valve open/close movements, allowing the needed air to be sent promptly to the combustion chamber at the precisely optimized time.

For its use in the NISMO 370Z, the 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 produces 350 hp @ 7,400 rpm and 276 lb-ft of torque @ 5,200 rpm. The NISMO Z®’s enhanced engine power and acceleration is provided through use of an exclusive H-configured exhaust system design and muffler tuning, along with optimized ECM (Engine Computer Module) control. The NISMO 370Z is offered with only one transmission, a close-ratio 6-speed manual with Nissan’s “SynchroRev Match” synchronized downshift rev matching system.

The “SynchroRev Match” function automatically controls and adjusts engine speed when shifting to the speed of the next gear position, essentially “blipping” the throttle to smooth out any up/down shifts. This not only allows the driver to focus more on braking and steering, it improves the smoothness of gear shifts by reducing the typical “shock” when the clutch is engaged. The system can be deactivated with a button next to the shifter for drivers who prefer to shift on their own.

The NISMO 370Z features a tight, rigid body structure with a strut tower bar brace and a pair of performance dampers, which quickly and efficiently react to help control body vibrations from road input via the tires, contributing to the NISMO 370Z’s outstanding handling and performance feel.

The NISMO Z®’s double-wishbone front/4-link rear suspension design suspension is specially tuned for exceptional handling. Compared to a standard Nissan 370Z Coupe, front spring rates have been dialed up 15%, rear spring rates 10%, front stabilizer bar rate upped 15% and the rear stabilizer bar is 50% stiffer. The roll stiffness rate has been increased by 15% and front and rear damping factors have been increased by 40% and 140% respectively.

The NISMO 370Z rides on unique 5-spoke Nissan-branded 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels (19x9.5-inch front, 19x10.5-inch rear) mounted with Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high-performance tires (P245/40ZR19 front, P285/35ZR19 rear).
Bringing the NISMO 370Z to a stop are standard NISMO Sport Brakes with large diameter 14.0-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors with 4-piston front and 2¬piston rear aluminum calipers. The braking system also includes a variable ratio brake pedal for a more direct pedal stroke feel, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). A Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD) is standard on all NISMO 370Zs, along with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).

Responsive steering is provided by a vehicle-speed-sensitive power-assisted rack-and-pinion design. Unwanted steering kickback and vibrations are reduced with the use of a solenoid valve that acts like a damper when there is a harsh impact load.

Unique NISMO 370Z Exterior and Interior Designs
Along with its standout performance, the 2011 NISMO Z® offers unique appearance treatments inside and out, designed to be highly emotional yet totally functional. The fully integrated aerodynamic body pieces include an extended front nose design and a fully integrated chin spoiler – providing a sense of dynamic movement while enhancing airflow and downforce for enhanced aerodynamic performance. The NISMO 370Z has an overall length of 173.4 inches – 6.2 inches longer than the standard 370Z Coupe. Special side sills and a unique rear bumper help control airflow under the vehicle, while the functional rear spoiler increases downforce.

Like the standard 370Z Coupe, the NISMO 370Z exterior also includes a wide stance, sculptural fenders, upswept quarter windows, bold “boomerang” shaped headlights and taillights, vertical door handles, heated outside mirrors, and aluminum hood, door panels and hatchback. The headlights are a High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon design with an auto on/off feature. Pagani To Enter India With Huayra

There are many stylish super cars in India such as Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Koenigsegg and Bugatti, but the list won't end here as another mind blowing super car manufacturer Pagani is all geared up to launch its car in India pretty soon.

Apparently, Italian Supercar Pagani is thinking of employing an importer for India. This car manufacturer will proffer Huayra, which will be available at the approximate price of Rs15 crore. It might seem very pricey but the Huayra features make this car worth it.

The major highlights of Pagani Huayra include; a powerful and sturdy Mercedes-AMG V12Bi-Turbo M158, 5980cc engine that keeps the capacity to churn out whooping 700 bhp power along with 1000Nm torque. This power and torque boosts up the car performance and it can touch a mark of 100km per hour in merely 3.5 seconds and has a supersonic speed of 370 km per hour. So, it could be said that now Aston Martin One-77 is not the dominator in the sports car market, it is sure to face a very hard-hitting competition from Pagani Huayra. The hopes are pretty high from this super cool sports car and it is expected that around 10 units of Huayra will be sold within the first year of it's sale in India.

2012 BMW X3 speculated to come in diesel engine only

The new versions of the BMW X3 hopefully would be launched in the month of June. It is expected that the 2012 BMW X3 will be powered by diesel engines.

As per preliminary information, there would be two diesels planned for 2012 BMW X3. There would be 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel 184hp engine producing 380Nm torque derived from smaller BMW vehicles besides a 3.0-liter 258hp/560Nm engine for the biggies BMW X3s.It is also reportedly known that both the completely knocked down engines will be paired with all wheel driven transmission system. Equally interesting would be the price tag that the German manufacturer is all slated to give to BMW X3 cars. It is hoped that it would be very competitive and BMW India would try to outshine it rivals Land Rover Freelander 2, Toyota Fortuner and Audi Q5. It is also a speculation that the 2012 BMW X3 would be followed by a more commanding turbocharged variant that has an impressive mileage of 12 kmpl.
In India, BMW has 11 car models including the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW Gran Turismo, BMW M Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X6, BMW Z4 and BMW X5. The BMW X1 price in India is Rs22 lakh while the BMW M Series price in India is the highest and it is priced at Rs 1.31 crore.

2012 Audi A6 likely to be priced between Rs37 lakh to Rs47 lakh

Audi India is soon to include the 2012 Audi A6 to the Indian fleet of cars. And even before its launch some really impressive details have appeared that would further enhance its anticipation in India.

Nissan Micra Diesel demand rises due to petrol price hike

Japanese car maker Nissan Motor Company has sold over 14,000 Nissan Micra cars in India since the launch of the hatchback in July last year, sources said.

The Japanese automobile company also plans to launch a multi-utility vehicle in 2012 besides a recent proposed launch of sedan segment car Nissan Sunny. The Nissan Sunny India version is expected to be priced at Rs6.8 lakh to Rs7 Lakh.In India, Nissan India has offered four car models including Nissan 370Z, Nissan Micra, Nissan Teana and the SUV Nissan X-Trail. Sources said that the Japanese earthquake and catastrophe had no impact over production of Nissan cars in India. Besides reports have also come in that Nissan has no immediate plan of introducing any electric cars in India. Car industry experts believe that there is a significant rise in the demand for diesel cars due to the sudden hike in petrol prices. However, rising interest rates coupled with inflationary pressures have further dampened and made the Indian car market more competitive and aggressive as well.Sources said that in such a situation, car makers which are able to offer truly high quality cars have survived. Despite the fact that there was a global meltdown situation prevailing in the recent years, Indian market was hailing high and almost all the international car companies have set India as their target, added sources. Meanwhile, Nissan Micra entry into the diesel segment last December was timely and it helped the company to tap in the rising demand well. Besides the local consumption, the company also exported 56,000 units of Nissan Micra. Sources also said that since the launch, demand for Nissan Micra Diesel has increased.

Tata Nano to enter Sri Lanka soon

Tata Motors has decided to enter Sri Lanka. Recent reports have also come in that Sri Lanka would be the first destination to start the export of ‘Lakhtakiya Car’ (Rs1 lakh car) to the Asian countries.

The company hopes that the Tata Nano price starting Rs1.15 lakh for the base model and Rs1.96 lakh for the Tata Nano Lx version would attract buyers in Sri Lanka.
In the beginning a lot of 500 Tata Nano cars will be sent to Sri Lanka in June this year. Initially Tata India hopes that it would be selling around 200 Tata Nano cars every month and eyes taking it to over 400 cars per month. Notably, Tata Motors has their dealer in Sri Lanka and the company is currently selling Tata Trucks through it.  Reports also reveal that before selling the Tata Nanos in Sri Lanka, Tata Motors will be making some changes to the Tata Nano and will be introducing inertia reel belts at the rear. Such seat belts are mandatory on all cars as per the Sri Lankan regulations. It is still unknown as to at what price Tata India is going to sell Tata Nano in Sri Lanka.

Chevrolet Beat Diesel Steps In Market Soon

General Motors India would hopefully roll out its Chevrolet Beat Diesel in July. According to sources the Chevrolet Beat Diesel will run on 1L three-cylinder engine that produces 57bhp power and a maximum torque of 140Nm at 1750rpm.

Once launched, the Chevrolet Beat Diesel will be the smallest diesel car in India. Besides, it would be one of the most economical car too. As per the test run reports, the Chevrolet Beat Diesel delivered a mileage of 24kmpl.It is also known that General Motors is putting the little genie that has a multijet-derived engine TCDi variant to rigorous tests. The expected Chevrolet Beat Price in India is Rs4.5 lakh. However, it is also said that GM was in no way in the process of making the Chevrolet Beat Diesel as the most fuel efficient car. Moreover, almost all the Chevrolet cars in India such as Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Tavera, and Chevrolet Spark are quite fuel efficient.The Beat Diesel is also hoped to be installed with a VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) in order to put in more power and torque to the car.
