The new versions of the BMW X3 hopefully would be launched in the month of June. It is expected that the 2012 BMW X3 will be powered by diesel engines.
As per preliminary information, there would be two diesels planned for 2012 BMW X3. There would be 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel 184hp engine producing 380Nm torque derived from smaller BMW vehicles besides a 3.0-liter 258hp/560Nm engine for the biggies BMW X3s.It is also reportedly known that both the completely knocked down engines will be paired with all wheel driven transmission system. Equally interesting would be the price tag that the German manufacturer is all slated to give to BMW X3 cars. It is hoped that it would be very competitive and BMW India would try to outshine it rivals Land Rover Freelander 2, Toyota Fortuner and Audi Q5. It is also a speculation that the 2012 BMW X3 would be followed by a more commanding turbocharged variant that has an impressive mileage of 12 kmpl. In India, BMW has 11 car models including the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW Gran Turismo, BMW M Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X6, BMW Z4 and BMW X5. The BMW X1 price in India is Rs22 lakh while the BMW M Series price in India is the highest and it is priced at Rs 1.31 crore.
