Recent developments in Indian car industry show that every major automobile company including Ford Motors across the globe is putting India in focus finding it to be one of the fastest emerging economy.
Marking the presence in every car segment, Global car makers are trying to get hold of Indian roads with their lucrative & luxurious car models. Keeping same intentions live, Ford India is also trying to mark its presence in the D segment cars in India and for this the company is launching its car “Ford Focus” for creating the brand image of the company in the country.It is worth mentioning that currently every major car maker has its foothold in D-segment cars which includes entry level luxury cars and mid-size cars. As per reports, Renault India entered with Renault Fluence, Toyota India intends to refurbish the Toyota Corolla Altis in June, Honda Motors is most likely to launch the new Honda Civic at the 2012 Auto Expo and Hyundai India is all set for the launch of Honda Avante. With Ford India still seeking presence in D-segment cars, as per speculations company is expected to launch “Ford Focus” soon.The reason behind launching “Ford Focus” earlier than schedule lies in the fact that the sales in D-segment cars are amplifying with high pace and Ford India don’t want to miss the opportunity. Earlier, Ford India launched Ford Figo in-line which was followed by recently launched Ford Fiesta Classic. Further as per reports, the company is expected to launch new D-segment 2011 Ford Fiesta car by June and launch of Ford Focus will do the branding work perfectly. However, with Indian customer preferring Chevrolet Cruze, Ford India will have to work hard to win space in D-segment cars.
